Windows Server 2012 RTM available to Volume License customers

2012 August 17

If you have access to Volume License Service Center, you can now download Windows Server 2012 Standard and Datacenter editions!  Read on for details…

I’ve been checking VLSC today and Server 2012 is finally available!

VLSC

It isn’t available on the TechNet and MSDN download sites yet, but hopefully it will be soon.  The file name on VLSC is SW_DVD5_Win_Svr_Std_and_DataCtr_2012_64Bit_English_Core_MLF_X18-27588.ISO.  Download it now before anyone notices and the download servers get bogged down. 🙂

Unfortunately this is a little late for people taking the MCSE beta exams (such as myself) since the last day to take it is August 20.  I’ve scheduled these exams for this weekend, but at least I can install and play with the RTM a little bit today.

It’s now available on TechNet. The file name is en_windows_server_2012_vl_x64_dvd_917758.iso and the sha1sum of 063bc26ed45c50d3745ccad52dd7b3f3ce13f36d matches the one from VLSC.
